We take a lot of pride in the quality of food we serve to our campers and staff. All meals, with the exception of barbecues & cookouts, are served cafeteria-style in our dining halls. The dining halls are centrally located on each campus. Campers sit together with their cabin counselors at assigned tables during meal times. Campers residing on Teen Campus have the privilege of ‘open seating’ during lunch meals - which permits them to sit with whomever they wish! All cooking and baking take place on the premises. Cayuga’s kitchen staff is comprised of a professional food service manager, restaurant-trained chefs, assistant cooks, and several crew members.
CAMP MENU
The chefs prepare 3 well-balanced, nutritious meals daily. Our meats, fish, vegetables, and fruit are of the very best quality. The menu caters to individuals who are on a standard diet, as well as vegetarians and those who are lactose intolerant. We serve neither pork nor shellfish. The menu changes daily and rotates every 2 weeks. Campers are encouraged to eat as much as they'd like, and no one ever leaves the dining hall hungry! For a typical 7-day menu, click here.
DIETARY RESTRICTIONS
The camp’s menu caters to individuals who are on a standard diet, as well as vegetarians and those who are lactose intolerant. Special menus are not prepared for vegans and individuals with celiac disease or any other extreme dietary restriction. Cayuga is not a nut-free or gluten-free camp. Individuals with serious allergies, who cannot eat the camp’s standard menu items, may be better served where special menus are available. Keep in mind that alternatives are available at the ‘leftovers’ counter and salad bar.
