CAMPER CABINS
CABIN ACCOMMODATIONS
Most cabins on Junior Campus accommodate 8-14 campers and 2-3 counselors. Teen Campus cabins are larger and house 18-24 campers and 3-4 counselors. All cabins include single beds and bunked beds. Our camper cabins are modern, comfortable, thoughtfully planned with cross ventilation, and complete with bathroom facilities. The cabin bathrooms on Junior Campus include 3 private showers, 3 private toilets, and 4-5 sinks. Most cabin bathrooms on Teen Campus include 7 private showers, 7 private toilets, and 8 sinks. All cabins are equipped with electrical outlets at each bed, screened windows, hot/cold water, smoke detector, a closet, storage shelves, and cubbies for each camper’s personal belongings. Each building is equipped with a fire extinguisher, and is centrally located and easily accessible to the dining hall, health center, and activity sites. Girl and boy cabins are located on opposite sides of the campus quad.
CABIN ASSIGNMENTS
A lot of attention is given to camper cabin assignments. Campers live with their contemporaries as Juniors, Intermediates, Seniors, or Super-Seniors, and are assigned to cabins according to their grade and session. Our goal is to have cabinmates begin and end their camp experience together. We also try to balance each cabin with a healthy mix of new and returning campers. New campers are always housed with at least one other new camper. If your child wants to be bunked with a friend, you can complete a Bunk Request Form, which ordinarily guarantees the campers to be together.
CABIN SUPERVISION
Each cabin is under the direct supervision of at least two college-aged counselors who live in the cabin with their campers. Counselors closely supervise the campers during the morning and afternoon activity periods, mealtimes, evening program, and throughout the night. This ensures close supervision 24-7.
