Cayuga's trip to
Busch
Gardens and
Luray Caverns is loaded with fun and action-packed excitement and adventure. Busch Gardens is a European-themed park with 17th century charm and 21st century flair. It has been voted the world's "Most Beautiful Theme Park" for 15 consecutive years by the National Amusement Park Historical Association. Busch Gardens features more than 50 thrilling rides, award-winning authentic cuisine, quaint world-class shops, and non-stop entertainment with 10 main stage shows and musical revues. Throughout the Park's beautifully landscaped authentically-detailed countries, you'll find such mind-boggling roller coaster creations like the record-breaking
Apollo's Chariot (210' high at 73mph), the award-winning
Alpengeist (one of the world's tallest inverted roller coasters at 67 mph), The
Loch Ness Monster (13 stories of double-looping steel thrills), and
The Big Bad Wolf (suspended roller coaster). You'll also enjoy a catered dinner meal in Germany at the Black Forest. It's delicious! With Busch Gardens' main-stage shows and musical revues, thrilling rides, and authentic European shopping & cuisine, you're guaranteed to have a great time with your camp friends. This summer you'll enjoy all the fun of Europe - only closer! On day #3 you'll visit
Luray Caverns, a United States Natural Landmark. For more than 130 years, Luray Caverns has been renowned as one of the world's most spectacular natural wonders. It's the largest and most popular cave in Eastern America and an internationally acclaimed destination. You'll take a walking-tour through the
enormous chambers in the caverns that are cathedral-sized rooms with ceilings 10 stories high. The chambers are filled with towering stone columns, shimmering draperies and crystal-clear pools. You'll learn all about the stalactite formations on your guided tour through the inspiring chambers. In addition to the caverns, you'll tour
Luray Caverns' Transportation Exhibit that features over 140 cars, carriages, coaches and costumes from 1725. You'll also have fun walking through the one acre ornamental
Garden Maze, that's one of the largest mazes in the Mid-Atlantic states. Your visit to Luray Caverns, Virginia is one you'll remember and cherish for a long time! It's a great place to end your unforgettable 3-day trip. Campers who are entering 6th grade & higher are eligible to attend. Space is limited and advance registration is required.
